Longest you have gone without n oil change

Drove a beater when I was a kid and I would say 30,000 without a change. Just kept adding.

I go about 8-9 k miles in a Honda CR-V ( since it was new) that gets driven a lot. A sensor tells you when to do it ( not that I trust that). I go about 5k miles in my old pickup truck or a year, whichever comes first ( not driven much).

Synthetic oils can supposedly go 20k + miles.

I think every 3k miles is excessive. ( now)

Miles or months (years)? I go 5,000 miles. That way it's simple: when I hit an even 5K miles (5, 10K, 15K, 20K, etc), I get an oil change.....

The "every 3,000 miles" is something that Jiffy Lube successfully implanted in people's minds. If you look at your owner's manual, most will say 5,000-7,500 miles.

I go about 5k miles in the old truck ( might take a year) and about 9k miles ( when the sensor says to) in the Honda....could be 3 months.

Bought a 1998 chevy prizm in 2003 with 67k miles. Gave the car to my sister 7months ago with 241k No lie never once gave it a oil change. At about 130k it got a slow oil leak. Checked it once a week and added if needed.

shit box that never stopped running. 170k and put maybe a total of $500 into it.

I think I went about 5,700 one time....My Owners manual says 10,000 but I change it about every 5,000 & I use whatever brand name oil is on sale...Right now theres castrol & duralube in it..

would go like 7-9k and i work at a fricken dealership and could have it done at anytime...lol
i use some amsoil syn now so probably go like 10k before i change
